SIMjacker is a telecommunications vulnerability discovered in 2019 that allows attackers to interact with a mobile phone’s SIM card using specially crafted SMS messages. It affects certain SIM cards that use the SIM Application Toolkit (STK) technology. Security researchers discovered that this flaw could be used to track phones or issue commands remotely.
