RATs (Remote Access Trojans)

A Remote Access Trojan (RAT) is a type of malware that gives an attacker full remote control of a victim’s device through a hidden backdoor connection. Once installed, the attacker can operate the computer almost as if they were physically sitting at it. RATs are widely used in cyber-espionage, corporate espionage, and cybercrime because they allow long-term surveillance of a target system.
